Clinical Approach
Dr. Buckelew believes meaningful change begins within a safe and genuine therapeutic relationship. She approaches therapy as a collaborative effort, combining careful listening with clinical insight to help clients better understand their patterns and move toward meaningful change.
Drawing from relational and attachment-based frameworks, she considers how early relationships, life experiences, and cultural contexts shape present challenges. In both therapy and assessment, she creates space for reflection and works alongside clients to clarify their values and move forward in ways that align with their goals.
Areas of Focus
Dr. Buckelew works with adolescents and adults navigating:
— Anxiety and patterns of overthinking
— Perfectionism and performance pressure
— Relationship and attachment concerns
— Identity development and life transitions
— ADHD, executive functioning, and academic stress
— Diagnostic clarification when symptoms overlap or feel unclear
Her work is especially well-suited to individuals who value depth, reflection, and structured support in making sense of their experiences. She has particular experience supporting women and LGBTQ+ clients engaging in deeper emotional work and values-driven exploration.

About Elysian Mental Health
Founded in 2024, Elysian Mental Health was created with the intention of offering a space that supports both healing and meaningful growth. The name draws inspiration from the Elysian Fields of Greek mythology — a place associated with rest, restoration, and renewal.
In that spirit, the practice aims to provide a calm, thoughtful environment where clients can step back from daily pressures, better understand their experiences, and move forward with greater clarity and intention.
